Welcome to my top ten blogging tips. These tips can be for anyone who is starting a blog or for someone who is a veteran blogger. Sticking to these tips will surely help you keep on track. From my own experience of blogging these are the best tips that I can recommend.

I have started off with this one for a great reason. The first thing that your readers are going to see if the layout of your blog. Make sure you have appropriate colours for your blog. By this I mean that you should not have a pink background with purple writing. Its not easy on the eyes and it really does not help the reader as they will just click off your blog.
Navigating is always a key element for your blog layout. Make it easier for your readers to view your old posts. Have a categories section and possibly include a navigational bar.

Make sure your content stays on the right course. Its very easy to post about something that is irrelevant to what your blog is really about. Your readers want to come and read about a particular subject, so make sure you stick to it. Choose a specific topic and stick to it. This will ensure that you create a loyal following of interested readers.
3. Post frequently
If your blog content is updated frequently, search engines will tend to spider pages at regular intervals. Keeping your content fresh takes a lot of time and effort but the pay offs in the end are really rewarding. Keep up the good work!
4. Spell checking and proof-reading
Taking a few extra minutes after your writing is a very crucial aspect of blogging. This can save you from having to make embarrassing explanations. Everything that you publish on the internet can be found and archived. Pay attention to this section.
5. Keep learning
Every single day there is always something else you can learn to improve your blog. Honestly this is true, I do learn everyday. The internet changes quickly. As you develop your blog, take the time to do your research. You never know what different tools there could be out there waiting to be discovered to make your blogging life easier.
6. Be unique
Your blog is an extension of you and your brand. People want to read what you have to say. Make sure its different and special. This way they will be coming back for your style. Determine whether your blog and brand will be more effective with a corporate tone, a youthful tone or a snarky tone. Then stay consistent with that tone in all your blog communications.
7. Don't be ignorant
Use the power of commenting. Its a simple and effective tool. Make sure you reply back to the comments on your blog. Commenters are more than likely going to come back and visit your blog to see if you have commented back. Don't be rude! Show your appreciation or answer questions. This is going to help you build a community.
